3 the best MOJITOS

We love so many things about Summer and one of them are colorfull, fruity cocktails. They taste perfect in summer time ;) Mojito is our favourite cocktail. We recommend you a classic Cuban Mojito, according to the original recipe, but also its variations of watermelon and strawberry flavors. Try it, we are sure that you gonna love it as much as we do.

Mojito is a Cuban national drink of sweet and sour mint taste, its origins date back to the golden age of piracy. It is said that the prototype of mojito was El Draque- liquor patented in the mid-nineteenth century, referring to the spirit administered on the boats of the famous privateer Francis Drake. Apparently it was Drake who composed the first cocktail on the basis of aguardietne, firewater from sugarcane- non-distilled rum, with addition of lime and sugar.

For the first time the recipe for Mojito appeared in the Manual of the bar Sloppy Joe’s in 1931. In 1942, Angel Martinez opened the famous La Bodeguita del Medio, where he was given the Mojito that conquered the entire Havana. It is about this place Hemingway used to say “My mojito in La Bodeguita, My daiquiri in El Floridita”. Other famous regulars of La Bodeguita were Brigitte Bardot and Nat King Cole. Thanks to celebrities, the news about mojito exceeded the limits of Cuba, sailed to the United States and conquered the whole world.
