2 the best Lemonade : Rhubarb & Cucumber
There has been a wonderful weather for several days. It makes me happy, as I love the sun shining and the heat. When I was thinking about the post for this week, I decided the best would be about…lemonades. There are many ways of preparing this delicious and healthy beverage. I have chosen the rhubarb and cucumber lemonades. They are really tasty, refreshing and quench your thirst.
This is my favorite one. We are having the rhubarb season now, so this is the lemonade I prepare the most often. I love the slightly tart rhubarb taste. Lemonade made of this wonderful plant reminds me of my childhood and is of the sweet pink color. It is perfect for hot days. Besides, it is healthy, as rhubarb contains A, C, and E vitamins and is rich in potassium, folic acid and fiber.
Ingredients: rhubarb, lemon, honey, mineral water, fresh mint leaves, ice.
Wash the rhubarb, cut off the ends and slice the rest. Cover with mineral water and boil until the rhubarb is soft. Strain it to the glass jar or vase in order to obtain a transparent liquid. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 spoons of honey. Before serving, add some pieces of fresh rhubarb, slices of lemon and fresh mint leaves.
Its original taste stems from fresh cucumbers. I like this lemonade very much for its subtle taste. Mixed with some lime, fresh mint and ginger, the cucumber lemonade is really delicious and smells nice.
Ingredients: Fresh cucumber, lime, fresh mint, ginger, mineral water, ice.
Peel the cucumbers and dice them. Blend the dice and add mineral water. If you want to obtain a transparent beverage, you must strain the liquid. Add fresh lime juice and grated ginger. If you wish your lemonade to be sweeter, add some sugar. Serve with cucumber and lemon slices, with fresh mint leaves and ice.
